Column of government troops shoot villagers

 Monday (August18) 2014, the column of 20 government troops from the 88th Light Infantry Division’s (LID), while they were going from Namkham township to Gungpain village, met with a bomb, whose setter was not known, and it exploded to them. Three troops got seriously injured.

After the explosion for a while, two ethnic villagers of Gungpain village came back from buying donation goods at Namkham Township.When they reached near the explosion site, the troops didn’t interrogate any question and shot at the two ethnics suddenly. The 30 years old man died on the spot but 23 years old man got serious injuries too. Now the government troops ordered the villagers to guide them to seek Ta'ang national liberation army (TNLA) in the forest, said the locals.
