A member of TNDP shot dead by unknown gunmen

A member of TNDP (ShanniParty) U Tun Lwin, who lived in Nam Mor village, Hpakan Township, in Kachin State, was killed by unknown criminals at his home.

On 5 October 2015, in the evening at 16:15 pm, there were two men pretended as gem sellers and came to U Tun Lwin’s home and called him to come down from the upstairs and meet with them, but he didn’t come out, so one of the men stood at the top of the ladder and shot at U Tun Lwin with a gun about 5 times, when the headman of TNDP went to look for him at the hospital, he was dead.

U Tun Lwin was a gem seller, before the two murderers came to his home there were four men who came to his home and called him to be with them to look at gems, but he refused to follow them. On 27 and 29 September 2015, the officers of KIA (Kachin Independence Army) sent a calling letter to U Tun Lwin telling him to give the gems tax to them. The media of Shanni also contacted and asked the officer of KIA Technical Team about U Tun Lwin’s death but didn’t get any information until now.
